Git Along Little Doggies: Rocket League's 4th Season Has A Western Theme
Last week, Psyonix gave Rocket League players a rundown on what they can expect from Season 4 tournament-wise. However, at that point, they still hadn't provided any information as to what the theme of the new season would be, stating that they'd let us know this week. (They kinda had to because the new season starts this Wednesday, August 11. )
The good news is that they didn't make everyone wait until the absolute last minute to find out and dropped all the details on Season 4 today. The new season adds a new Arena named Deadeye Canyon, and features a new car named Outlaw. The car is part of Season 4's Rocket Pass, which also includes a "No-Name" Topper, Tanker wheels, an Amikoo Decal, and a Lava Boost.
In addition to the new Season content, the update also includes some new features and changes. For streamers, this one will be pretty exciting... Psyonix has added a streamer safe music feature. This will turn off copyright protected music and help keep you from being dinged with a DMCA violation. All you'll have to do is check the "Streamer Safe Music (Only)" box in your audio settings.
Another thing of note is a new restriction for those queuing in Ranked with an undersized party. If you're doing this, you'll need to make sure you and whoever else is in your party are within three ranks of each other, so that the random third has a team close to their rank. And finally, the new update adds the ability to forfeit casual matches, to help stop players from just bailing on their team.
