Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed launches today, just in time for the Halloween season. Players will be able to enjoy the title on all major devices: Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Microsoft Windows, and the Epic Games Store.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is an action game developed by IllFonic. The game features a 1v4 style gameplay and allows up to five players to either take on the role of a Ghostbuster or a ghost. Players will be able to create and customize their own Ghostbuster with a wide range of options that will allow players a wide range of creative freedoms.

While playing as a Ghostbuster will have players in a first-person shooter-type role, the ghosts will be controlled from a third-person perspective. Those who want to work together also have the option of teaming up to fight against an AI-controlled ghost cooperatively. The key word here is 'cooperatively' because these ghosts will need some serious teamwork to take down and capture.

The game claims to also have a captivating story similar to an episode of The Real Ghostbusters, giving long-time fans of the franchise a well-deserved treat. Now, while there isn't a campaign mode, the animated cutscenes and narrative drive of the game is where the true story hides. Players can start playing Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed today with most bundles starting at $39.99.
