Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed DLC 4 Has New Maps, New Ghosts, New Story, And More
Everything you do in the game should feel better.
Start with a dash of new maps, add in a sprinkle of new playable ghosts, a dab of new story, and a heaping helping of gameplay improvements later and you've got yourself a recipe for an update in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed.
Lead Designer Jordan Mathewson leads off today's patch notes with a letter about the game's gameplay improvements coming with this update. Some will be subtle, and some will be more noticeable, but they should all add up to a better experience according to Mathewson.
There are two new maps in this update to Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed; Petey's Pirate Cove, and Galway Station. There's a new ghost type to play called Overlords that comes in three variants; Samhain, Darklock, and Gravebringer.
New story acts are also part of this update, with voice work by Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson. There's also a special boss fight you can tackle with your friends once you reach a certain point in the story.
Halloween masks are back, and there are four new ones to collect this year. The masks will be available until November 16th.
Two new features added to the game are Gear Loadouts and offline progression. Play offline as much as you want, and the next time you log in you're progress will be uploaded.
