GGG Preps Players For Path Of Exile's Next Expansion With Design Manifesto And Ascendancy Class Explanation
Grinding Gear Games is getting ready to launch its latest expansion for Path of Exile, Echoes of the Atlas, this Friday. We learned the high-level details during a livestream last week, and GGG's been giving players more in-depth news about the various new mechanics over the past few days.
A live Q&A took place immediately following last week's presentation, and you can see the results of that session here. A more in-depth look at changes to the Atlas passives was offered up here, while the changes to Ascendancy Classes were revealed here. That prompted a follow-up blog post, where GGG explained its reasoning for the Ascendency Class changes, which came in response to some of the feedback that usually comes with changing up a major part of any game.
Yesterday, the company also produced a Design Manifesto, further explaining its reasoning behind the changes and other balancing efforts, as well as going into detail regarding many of the other smaller changes coming with this expansion. If you want all that and more, the complete patch notes were posted today and can be found here. Finally, check out the shiny rewards you'll get from completing various challenges in the Ritual Challenge League in the video below.
Path of Exile: Echoes of the Atlas launches on Friday, January 15 at 11 a.m. for PCs and on Wednesday, January 20 at 11 a.m. PDT for consoles.
