SWTOR B3S1

Introducing B3-S1, the Basilisk War Droid Companion!

The Basilisk Prototype Venture is a part of Game Update 7.5 “Desperate Defiance” in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Players will undertake a series of tasks to unlock unique rewards. In this inaugural Venture, they collaborate with Lane Vizla to restore functionality to B3-S1 and eventually gain her as a companion. According to Bioware, this system is solo-friendly — allowing players to progress through tasks independently. That being said, grouping can expedite certain aspects, such as completing Heroic Missions.

To initiate the Venture, players need an active subscription to the MMORPG, a Level 80 character, and completion of Lane Vizla's mission "A Few Modifications" in Kessan’s Landing. Upon meeting Lane in her new lab on Ruhnuk, the Venture tab becomes accessible, initiating a series of missions to rehabilitate B3-S1. They aid in B3-S1's training by completing daily missions alongside her in various combat roles, gradually unlocking and upgrading her combat capabilities.

The progression of the Venture is tracked through a checklist format, with each completed node unlocking further tasks and Basilisk-specific rewards. Alongside these tasks, players get to experience story moments with Lane Vizla and her HK-Astromech assistant — contributing to the narrative arc of restoring B3-S1. Upon completion, they not just gain B3-S1 as a companion but also have the opportunity to continue collecting data for Lane. Doing so will unlock unique companion customizations.
