Get Those Goodies You Don’t Want To Do Actual Content For With Another Round Of Final Fantasy XIV’s Moogle Treasure Trove
You know what that means… Patch 6.4 is just around the corner.
During the last Live Letter, Yoshi-P told Final Fantasy XIV players that they could expect Patch 6.4 sometime in “late May”. Today, we have a better idea of the date, thanks to the announcement of the next Moogle Treasure Trove event.
As most players know, the Treasure Trove event takes place before major patches and lasts about a month, ending when downtime for the update is due to take place. Today, Square Enix announced that the new Treasure Trove Event – titled “The Hunt for Mendacity” will begin on April 24. That means we can likely expect 6.4 to drop in the MMORPG on May 23. If you have stuff you want to get done before that happens, it’s time to get to work.
As for the event itself, once again, players will be rewarded with special Moogle Tomes for completing selected activities in the duty finder. The number of tomes awarded varies based on what players are doing. Once players have enough, they can trade the tomes for select items, including housing items, mounts, minions, earrings (always earrings), gear, Triple Triad Cards, MGP, and more. If there are some things that you haven’t been able to get – say, mount drops – this is a good way to go about getting them. Yes, it gets repetitive, but the rewards are guaranteed once you hit the number of required tomes.
