Get Your RPG On With SMITE's Latest Update
Today, Hi-Rez Games launched SMITE update 4.21, introducing the game's newest adventure, "Shadows Over Hercopolis". Reportedly, the most ambitious in SMITE's development history, the adventure brings a bit of RPG fun to the game.
Hercules is missing and it's going to take a team of gods to find and rescue him. Shadows of Hercopolis is a co-op adventure that combines all the best elements of RPG games with SMITE's combat. It features raid-style bosses, puzzles, traps, and a story that allows players to explore locations from Norse mythology.
There will be three epic boss battles, including one in which players aboard a sinking ship fight a giant sea monster. In the end, players will have to confront the trickster god Loki in order to rescue Hercules.
The event -- as well as the rest of the update -- is live on the SMITE servers.
