Get Ready To Celebrate The New Year In Genshin With A Whole New Region And Two New Playable Characters.
Happy Lantern Rite!
Once again, it’s that time of year in Genshin Impact. Lantern Rite is almost upon us. The event will return in the Version 4.4 update along with a new region in the northwest – Chenyu Vale. The festival features a new kite theme, events, mini-games, and more. There’s even a new outfit for Xingqui.
Players will also have a whole new area to explore in Liyue – Chenyu Vale. This mist-shrouded area features waterfalls and a village famous for tea cultivation as well as a key trading port, Yilong Wharf. That’s not all that’s there, of course. There are plenty of lesser traveled areas, some of which can apparently only be reached if the adepti like you enough to turn you into a flying carp to get there.
Two new playable characters will also make their way into the game. The first is the human form of an adeptus, Xianyun. The other is a Wushou dancer by the name of Gaming.
It all hits servers on January 31st.
