Get A Massive Erection By Constructing A Great Wonder In Atlas
And amass greater booty with a new low-tier ship!
There's something new for intrepid seafaring voyagers in Atlas to strive for, as the Great Temple Wonder Monument has arrived in today's patch for PC and Xbox One players. The monument is the first of many that will be coming to the game, and it requires six levels of progression to complete. Each wonder can only exist once per server, so if you're going to build it, make sure you have the proper dedication, resources, and suckers, I mean workers, to carry out your plans.
Less exclusive, but also noteworthy, is the Tramp Freighter, an early-game ship that's described as "small but sturdy." It has multiple cargo racks on each side, so you can haul more booty, and it's meant to be cost-effective, so you can build it early in the game without slaving away at gathering resources. (You'll need those to build your great wonder.) You can find the complete patch notes for today's update, including a bunch of bug fixes and optimizations, on the Atlas site.
Grapeshot Games also put out a video highlighting the updates and new content that came to the game in 2021, all set to jaunty a not-quite-Pirates-of-the-Caribbean-please-don't-give-us-a-copyright-strike soundtrack. It's cool enough to almost make you forget that the game has been in early access for three years, has a positive rating under 50% on Steam, and has bled players almost constantly since its late 2018 debut.
