German Aircraft Carriers Take To The Sea And Air In World Of Warships
The Luftwaffe arrives in full force in World of Warships, as German aircraft carriers have been deployed in Update 0.9.7. Four carriers -- the Tier IV Rhein, Tier VI Weser, Tier VIII August von Parseval, and Tier X Manfred von Richthofen -- enter the fray, even though they never made it into service in real life.
The German carriers are speedier than their counterparts from other nations, but more fragile, with a smaller HP pool. Their attack aircraft are also rather flimsy but boast AP rockets that can really tear a hole in a ship's citadel, while their torpedo planes have short range but move quickly.
The new aircraft carriers aren't the only new ships in this update, which also adds the Tier IX German battleship Pommern, Tier VI German carrier Erich Loewenhardt, and Tier X Soviet battleship Slava as Premium vessels. There's also a new ranked sprint for Tier IX vessels and a German Navy collection for players to ... well, collect. Learn more about the update on the World of Warships site.
