Genshin Impact Reveals More About The Raiden Shogun And Inazuma’s Other Islands
As we get closer to 2.1, miHoYo is dropping more info on the Genshin Impact site.
On September 1, miHoYo plans to release Genshin Impact Version 2.1, adding the rest of the Inazuma region, which consists of two new islands, fishing, the anniversary event, and more. In preparation for the launch, miHoYo has been dropping little bits of information on the site, including a preview page.
Most recently, it's provided more information on the two new islands, Watatsumi and Seirai, as well as the game’s next playable character, the Raiden Shogun. With the launch of the new islands, a new mode of transportation will be available. Players will be able to use a type of ruin device known as a Phase Gate to teleport around the islands. The gates can even be adjusted to change destinations. The introduction of the new islands also means new materials and creatures. In most cases, you obtain the materials from the creatures, such as Unagi meat from … well, Unagi.
The latest round of posts focuses on the Raiden Shogun. One is the teaser trailer titled “Nightmare” -- and I’m really not sure why miHoYo decided to do this to us. The other is the character overview, offering a rundown of her abilities. The most notable thing about the Raiden Shogun, is that despite how her character is presented, she offers a good deal of support to other characters, and relies on them to make the most of her abilities.
