Genshin Impact Releases New Story Trailer For Xiao, Art Contest Announced
Genshin Impact's newest character, Xiao, is right around the corner, and today miHoYo released a story teaser trailer to give players more insight on how Xiao might enter the game. I'll admit to not having played Genshin Impact yet, so it appears to have something to do with playing a flute on a moonlit night. Funny how the story trailers never mention how loot boxes are also usually needed.
In any case, if you thought that Genshin Impact was slowing down, you're probably off target. The video was uploaded just yesterday and has already racked up over 1.2 million views, indicating that the game is still alive and very, very well.
Xiao will arrive in Genshin Impact's 1.3 update on February 3. We profiled everything coming in that update last week, so hit up QuintLyn's excellent explanation for all the details.
There's also a Genshin Impact fan art event on the way next month, where budding artists will be able to submit their creations under the theme "A Sea of Lights." The submission period is from February 18-24, with results to be revealed, and prizes handed out, around mid-March. Those prizes are pretty sweet, too, with five first-place winners each receiving 10,000 Primogems and a year's subscription to all Adobe All Apps. Other prizes include yearlong subs to Photoshop and Clip Studio Paint. For more details about the contest, check out the miHoYo blog.
