GAMESCOM 2024: Bohemia Interactive Reveals Two New Games, And Neither Of Them Are Arma 4
Fans of the company won’t have expected these announcements.
While fans of Bohemia Interactive’s Arma keep waiting on the next entry in the franchise, the company’s apparently been up to something else entirely – in the publishing department anyway. At Gamescom, the company announced two different games that are being published under their banner: Skyverse and Brute Horse. Both are just about as far away from Arma 4 as a game can get.
The first game, Skyverse, is a voxel sandbox RPG developed by Enjoy Studio, with online co-op and cross-platform multiplayer. Its name comes from the fact that the world is made up of a bunch of floating islands that players must traverse via airship. Aside from that, it has all the things you’d expect from a voxel sandbox like gathering, crafting, base building, and fighting monsters.
The second game, Brute Horse – from developer Place of Departure – is also a co-op game, but only for two players. That’s because players take on the role of a barbarian named Brute, or an assassin named Michelle. There’s also a horse simply named “Horse”. Together the two players travel the land looking for the most powerful weapon. It all looks very silly but could be a lot of fun.
