GAMESCOM 2022: Smilegate Announces CrossfireX’s Largest Content Update Since Launch
New maps and new missions await.
During Gamescom 2022, Smilegate Entertainment announced that CrossfireX’s newest update would deliver 2 new maps, 1 reintroduced map, new missions, new weapons, quality life improvements, improved matchmaking, and more.
CFX’s new maps are The Babylon map, which is available in the Point capture and Modern multiplayer modes, and the Satellite map, which is available in the Search & Destroy, Modern, and Classic multiplayer modes. Then, the reintroduced map is The Submarine map which now has Classic Knife-Team Deathmatch for a limited time.
The newest mission, Rise of Babylon, will reward players with the new KALASH-103 Alpine Strike weapon skin and KALASH-103 Base weapon by playing the Babylon map for more than 100 minutes. In addition, players can also look forward to four new base weapons added: AP-45, HAMMER MK2, KALASH-LMG, and MODEL 1903, each purchasable with in-game currency (GP), alongside 25 new weapon skins and three new weapon accessories.
Lastly, CFX has improved its matchmaking system and updated control customization options as well as incorporated more customization options for the minimap. Players who missed CFX’s Babylon update reveal trailer can watch below.
