GAMESCOM 2022: Marauders Snippet During Showcase Reveals Early Access Is Coming In October
Also, next month, the devs are kicking off a series of limited-time beta testing.
Team17 and Small Impact Games have debuted a new trailer at the Opening Night Live showcase at Gamescom 2022 that reveals Marauders will be going into early access in October. But just before the release, a series of limited-time beta tests will happen on Steam between September 6-14.
Marauders is a multiplayer looter shooter set in an alternative timeline of the 1990s where The Great War never ended. Earth has been industrialized to a breaking point. Players will band together to navigate wartorn battlegrounds to fish for loot, craft weapons and gear, and salvage what's necessary to survive.
The game is available on Steam to pre-order for 10% off and will grant immediate access to the early access in October and the Space Pirate pack with an exclusive helmet and body cosmetic. As for the series of beta tests next month, information on how players will be able to join will come from Team17's developer blog on Steam. Also, anyone at Gamescom can head over to the Team17 booth on Hall 7.1 / B-040 this week to try a playable version of Marauders.
