GAMESCOM 2022: Aliens: Fireteam Elite Updated Pathogen Trailer Presents Pale-Shaped Xenomorphs, New Weapons, And Missions
The story expansion is set to release next Tuesday.
Cold Iron Studios debuted an updated trailer of the Pathogen story expansion coming to Aliens: Fireteam Elite at Gamescom 2022. Releasing on August 30, the DLC brings a campaign with three new missions, several weapons and perks, and terrifying-pale Xenomorphs to battle against in the bowels of dangerous environments.
In the trailer, viewers will see the chaotic flurry of Xenomorphs attacking players who, in turn, mow them down with a hail of bullets. Highlights of the trailer are the new weapons, such as a sub-machine gun and grenade launcher, which become deadlier with unique perks suited for keeping the swarming enemies at bay. Surprisingly, the video ends with the towering Xenomorph hinted in Pathogen's reveal trailer and will likely require some teamwork to take down.
Additionally, Cold Iron Studios has plans to incorporate a new Hardcore mode when Pathogen launches for those itching for a challenge. The expansion will be available on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, but currently doesn't have a price tag.
