Gamescom 2020: The Cycle Will Come To Steam When It Launches In Q4 With "New And Reimagined Features"
Currently exclusive to the Epic Games Store, YAGER's semi-cooperative PvPvE shooter The Cycle is hatching from its beta shell later this year. When it does so, it will be available on Steam for the first time, with full cross-play between platforms. The game's Steam page is active, with a planned launch date of Q4 2020.
In a press release, YAGER stated that the official launch will make several changes to the game, "to make the experience even more dramatic and challenging." Alongside a new map, new weapons, and new game modes, YAGER is "developing new and reimagined features to emphasize the game's survival elements, let players set their own goals, and bring real consequences to players' actions." Does that mean that when I backstab a guy on the planet, he can hunt me down on the station? I hope not, or else I'll have a lot of enemies to deal with.
Also, in case you were wondering if China is still a big deal in gaming, YAGER mentioned that after adding Chinese language support earlier this month, The Cycle's active daily user count doubled in just a week. Looks like we're gonna need a bigger space station ...
