Game Of Thrones: Winter Is Coming Announces Biggest Update In Two Years
Winter has actually arrived in the browser-based game.
It’s been two years since R2Games’ Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming had a big update. That’s okay, though, because The Night King Invasion has arrived, finally bringing winter to the game – along with a myriad of other things. The Night King and five 500-man White Walker Alliances complete with generals and troops are attacking and players must go up against them.
During their invasion, the White Walkers will move south, attacking lords and their troops. They’ll also turn any regions they take into Barren Land. Should this happen, it’s ill-advised for players to visit those areas. Although, we suppose someone will have to.
In order to defeat the Night King and his followers, players will need to unite, bringing their armies together and taking the fight to the White Walkers before they can gain a foothold.
Or, you could play as the Night King Commander, which might be more fun. This playable character is obtained by participating in the White Walker Modes and gathering Night King Commander Fragments. The White Walker theme is also carried over into a castle exterior and troop appearances.
Speaking of troops, the update also includes Ancient Troops, which are created by combining Royal Troops with a Valyrian Steel Weapon.
