Funcom Drops "Biggest Update In Years" For Age Of Conan
For the first time in a while, Funcom has released a massive update for its free-to-play MMO Age of Conan -- "Onslaught". The update adds a new area to the 12-year old game based on Robert E. Howard's 1933 Conan the Barbarian short story "Black Colossus". It also introduces a new enemy -- the wizard Thugra Khotan, who has awakened from a long sleep and is now ready to continue his quest for world domination.
He brings with him an army ready to fight, attacking the Ivory Dome of Kutchemes. The dome may contain plenty of treasure, but of course there's a catch. In this case, it's a sleeping god.
Also included in the update is a new game mode, quests, and plenty of new weapons and armor to be acquired. More details on the update can be found on the Age of Conan site.
