From Zero to Hero: Browser based Ragnarok Zero Announced
Good news for Ragnarok Online fans. Those looking to experience a new version of Ragnarok more akin to its original style may get their wish yet. While Ragnarok Online 2 did capture some of the atmosphere of the original, many felt disappointed by the MMOs lack of several well known RO features. However, that's not the only other Ragnarok MMO in existence.
Ragnarok Online Prequel, while not possessing the most original name ever, serves as a prequel to Ragnarok Online and attempts to follow in the original's 2D footsteps while also introducing a few new mechanics. The browser based MMORPG was originally made available in China earlier this year and recently publisher Game321 announced their intentions to bring the MMO to the west.
Now a new website has surfaced for Ragnarok Online Prequel, which has since been renamed to Ragnarok Zero. While the English website doesn't offer up any real details on the game, a Chinese debut trailer released earlier this year does show off some in-game footage which showcases the MMOs apparent return to the original's isometric gameplay.
Details on beta dates and an official release have yet to be given for the NA version of Ragnarok Zero. Given the series return to its 2D roots, will you be giving Ragnarok Zero a try?

Solo offline mode will be available if you own the title, but you better grab it soon if you want it.
No, we still don't have updated timing on the game's publisher transition.
The preview contains new tech, locations, and features from 4.0.
Ironically, we still have few details...but we do have a new trailer!
its rly fun.. the things there arent now are some classes and maps but its fun like the real RO...
lets hope RO zero will be amazing like them....
That said, I don't even consider this in competition with RO2. RO2 is plain bad. I'm not against the graphics. I'm not against its apparent lack of features..no..RO2 sucked because it leaves you almost questless and tries to strongarm you into doing instances at certain brackets to progress at all. Seriously, stop trying to be FF11. Nobody except no-lifers liked FF11.
With that said, hopefully this tries something different. Don't be like RO2.
