Free-To-Play Mech Shooter Steel Hunters To Enter Early Access Soon
The game combines battle royale and extraction mechanics, but the selling point is obviously big shoot-y robots.
We have good news for fans of big, gun-carrying mechs – or fans of the things Wargaming develops. Today, the World of Warships developer announced plans to launch the Steel Hunters Early Access, and players don’t have too long to wait.
The game, which is described as a “mech hero shooter that uniquely blends Battle Royale and Extraction mechanics” is scheduled to kick off on April 2. (It seems they wanted to make sure players didn’t think it was an April Fools’ joke.)
During the early access, Wargaming will be taking player feedback to prepare the game for the full release. The idea is to ensure that the game is as “engaging and satisfying” as possible. At the start of the early access, players will be able to choose between seven mechs to take into battle on a collection of dynamic battlegrounds.
When the game launches, it will be available via the Wargaming launcher or Steam.
