A couple of months ago, we learned about Total War: Elysium, a free-to-play collectible card game from Creative Assembly that was, at the time, only scheduled for release in China. At the time, CA said that it "hope[s] to bring it to players worldwide before too long."

"Before too long" apparently amounted to about two months. Creative Assembly is now taking beta signups for the mobile version of Total War: Elysium, but the team plans to launch the game simultaneously on Android, iOS, and PC.

Described as a "free-to-play strategy card game that brings generals from across history together to go head to head in epic strategic showdowns," Total War: Elysium appears to have most of what you'd expect in a CCG. Creative Assembly plans to launch the game with 9+ legendary generals, each with their own preferred style and strategy, and over 300 cards in its initial set that you'll send into battle against each other. Cards and generals can be earned through gameplay or by spending real-money currency called Amethysts.

One unique mechanic is "Daybreak" -- not to be confused with Daybreak Game Company -- that allows you to call in reinforcements mid-game. For instance, "If your opponent has built up a strong line of archers, it’s time for you to send in the cavalry!" That's a strategy that any Total War veteran will understand.

You can check out the Total War: Elysium website for more information or to sign up for the mobile beta, and you can learn more about the game via its FAQ.

Can I yawn, I know i should cover my mouth, too many fillings. its quiet funny how games get over copied so much they create whirlpools of game devs with no new ideas. :)
