Fractured Space Looks to Improve Matchmaking With New Quick Play Mode And AI Rebalancing
The most important part of an online, match-based game probably isn't the controls or the rewards or the feeling of satisfaction when you grind your enemies into dust -- it's the matchmaking. Long queues or bad matchmaking against players far more experienced the you has arguably ruined more games than all the bugs in the world combined.
Fractured Space's recent update looks to solve some of the game's biggest matchmaking conundrums. Co-op vs. AI is no longer an option; instead, Quick Play will match players up as best it can with other players in PvP, filling out the teams with AI captains if needed. This should help to both reduce queue times and decrease the chances of being matched with players far outside your MMR.
To go along with the changes, last week's patch includes rebalanced AI for low-level players and the usual spate of updated features and bug fixes. You can read all about them on the Fractured Space Steam page.
