Fractured In Alterac Valley Completes Hearthstone's Horde vs. Alliance Arc
Expansion comes in December, adds new hero cards for each class.
Note: Activision Blizzard is still under investigation by the state of California for serious harassment charges. CEO Bobby Kotick is alleged to have known about such actions within his company – and performed some himself – and shielded the perpetrators from consequences.
Hearthstone announced an expansion yesterday, but you'd be forgiven for missing it, considering all the other news that was coming out of Blizzard yesterday. It's called Fractured in Alterac Valley and wraps up the three-expansion arc that began with Forged in the Barrens and continued with United in Stormwind.
Each class gets a new hero with a powerful Battlecry ability and hero power. New mechanics in this set include and the keyword Honorable Kill, which triggers when you deal the exact damage needed to kill a minion, and a new spell type, Objective, which has an effect that lasts three turns.
Fractured in Alterac Valley launches on December 7 and adds 135 new cards to the game. You can log in at any time before launch to claim a free legendary from one of the two factions: Drek'Thar for the Horde or Vanndar Stormpike for the Alliance. Learn more about the expansion on the Hearthstone website.
