Fourteen-Player PvP Shooter World Boss Officially Launches With "Largest Update Ever" In Tow
The game jumps from early access to 1.0.
An all-new shooter is now available on Steam. World Boss is a 14-player PvP shooter designed to be a “new kind of FPS gameplay experience”. Developer PlaySide Studios intends for it to be easy to pick up and play while still being deep. That’s not exactly anything we haven’t heard before, but if it’s been achieved, it’s nice.
With the launch of 1.0, introduces the ability to play against Steam Friends on their server. A new mechanic has also been introduced: “Corruption Bomb”. This allows players at the top of the scoreboard to corrupt areas of the map and make the fight more interesting. A new arena has been introduced as well. It features three different biomes called Hexes. Players who claim the crown can place Corruption Bombs in special areas. These can be defused, but players will need to hurry.
Players can pick up World Boss now via Steam. The game is free-to-play, but there are a couple of DLC packs already available.
