Fortnitemares Will Launch Tomorrow Instead Of Today, But Some Of These Horror-Themed Skins May Be Worth The Wait
Yep, I'm going to go ahead and need that Saw one ASAP even though I rarely play.
Fortnite's annual celebration of Halloween was originally supposed to launch today. Sadly, the battle royale's team announced that they had to delay the launch until tomorrow, October 12th, to ensure "a properly frightful Fortnitemares."
Hey, delays happen and at least this one is only a delay of a day. We've certainly seen worse.
In the meantime, the Fortnitemares trailer showcases a plethora of horror-themed skins and features that we can expect to see. Edward Scissorhands, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Billy from the Saw franchise, and more will make their way into the mix as Epic Games collaborates with more and more products. This is about to go nuts on the Disney side of things, by the way. Disney villains even make their way into the Halloween event in the way of Cruella DeVille, Maleficent, and Captain Hook.
In addition to pumpkin launcher weapons and a tricycle vehicle, leaks also suggest that the event will add 6 new landmarks and some POI updates. The Horde Rush limited time mode is also expected to return.
Oh...and that Venom tease at the end of the video? Like Fortnite or not, you have to respect their skins game.
