Fortnite x MrBeast Collabs To Bring Extreme Survival Challenge With A Whopping $1 Million Prize Pool
The player with the highest score during the survival challenge gets all the cash.
Fortnite confirmed a partnership with YouTuber MrBeast to bring a competitive event to the battle royale with a whopping $1 million prize pool. On December 17, players will compete in MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge on an event island, and whoever accrues the highest score will win all the cash.
Tomorrow, Epic Games will open the event island at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time for players to practice before the challenge on December 17 between 12:00-3:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Players can access the island from the Discover screen in the Fortnite Competitive row or use the island code 7990-6907-8565.
MrBeast’s Extreme Survival Challenge will be available to players worldwide, but there are tournament eligibility rules to keep in mind. For example, players must have 2FA enabled and verify their Epic account for their Score to get counted. Moreover, those accounts have to be Level 15 or above. You can find more details on the official rules page.
Participants will collect coins, avoid hazards, and overcome Extreme Survival Quests to earn as high a score as possible within three hours. Completing one quest gives players the MrBeast Gaming Spray, and another unlocks the MrBeast Survival Games Loading Screen. These quests will be available until January 4 at 6:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Also, participants that earn a specific amount of score could gain a unique Beast Brella Umbrella for their Locker.
A player’s total score when the collab event ends will get calculated by their five best matches. One neat thing about this is that players can play as many matches as they want to bump up their highest Score.
MrBeast will also join the Fortnite Icon Series with LeBron James and Naomi Osaka on December 14. Players can view the Fortnite Item Shop for MrBeast outfits, accessories, and emote when it goes live.
