Fortnite: Save The World Could Be Going Free-To-Play Next Month
The runaway success of Fortnite: Battle Royale has cast a long shadow on its PvE counterpart, Fortnite: Save the World. News regarding the latter has been sparse enough that it's left some -- including us here at MMOBomb -- wondering if it would ever shed its early access tag and go into its promise free-to-play full release.
Save the World's time may be coming soon -- at least, that's what the popular Fortnite: Battle Royale Leaks Twitter account @FNBRLeaks is saying:
Save The World MAY become free this season.

Fortnite's current season, Season 5, will end in mid-September.
One concern that players, and Epic Games themselves, would probably have is the ability for people to earn Fortnite's cash shop currency, VBucks, in Save the World without spending money, and then applying them to their Battle Royale accounts. Not only could this cut into Epic's profits, but it might also saddle STW fans with disinterested BR players who are only in the game to earn the free loot.
