Fortnite's On A Roll: Street Fighters' Sakura And Blanka Are Coming To The Island This Week
Show off those guns in the Blanka & Sakura Cup to win a special loading screen.
Today, the Fortnite Team announced that Street Fighters' iconic Sakura and Blanka fighters are coming to the Fortnite Island on April 28 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time. To celebrate 35 years of Street Fighter, players can grab their Outfits and accessories in the Item Shop later this week while competing in the Blanka & Sakura Cup to win their unique Loading Screen.
If you're feeling Blanka, you can "unleash the beast" in the Blanka Outfit, featuring a Blanka Delgado alt style inspired by Rival Schools' Boman Delgado. Whether in his signature beast garb or styled up in a business suit, you can perform a Blanka Backflip Emote out on the field. Included with the Outfit is the Blanka-Chan Back Bling, which gets "more electrified" as you can gain eliminations, with the Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe electrifying players when hit.
The staple Sakura Outfit comes with a Sakura Gym alt style which resembles one of her Street Fighter IV alts. Additionally, players can exert their confidence with the Outfit's built-in Sakura's Victory Sway Emote. As a reminder of home, her Outfit comes with the Hanakaze Claw Back Bling and the Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe. Also, there's a Kayari Buta Glider you can grab with her Outfit.
Players can expect the Blanka & Sakura Cup this week but unfortunately, it'll start out as a mobile-exclusive Zero Build Solo Cup. It comes out on April 27 with the second version on all platforms as a Battle Royale Solo Cup on April 28. The top-performing players in each region will gain the Bonus Stage Loading Screen.
