Fortnite Flipped

Things have changed drastically, yet again, in Epic Games’ battle royale Fortnite. Following the end of the Chapter 2 content, players found themselves tossed into the sea as the island actually flipped over. This isn’t something islands are commonly known for but, as it turns out, when something like that happens, the entire map changes. Who knew? Luckily, the Foundation was around to give everyone a tour when they washed back up on the island.

This change marks the beginning of a new chapter and a new season. Chapter 3 Season 1 – otherwise known as “Flipped” – introduces not only new places to explore but also new gameplay mechanics, new gear, and more. One of the more interesting new features to be added to the game is the ability for players to earn XP toward their battle pass, whether it be in battle royale mode or even creative. (Not everything you do in creative will earn you XP, but still.)

Of course, a new season means new items. There are several new weapons, a little something for everyone ranging from a bolt-action sniper rifle to a pump shotgun, and several things in between. There's also a new tent item, that can be used to heal up and store a few things in to collect later. Oh yes, and Spider-Man joins the line-up as part of the game’s battle pass. More details on the battle pass are available in the Chapter 3 Season 1 announcement post. You can also get a brief overview in the video below. If you missed the Chapter 2 finale, it is available to watch below as well. Just set aside a few minutes for it.
