Fortnite Celebrates Valentine's Day And The Flash Zooms Into The Store
Love is in the air in Fortnite, and you can partner up with ... well, the partner of your choosing -- hey, we don't judge -- to participate in today's Heart's Wild Cup. Duos will have three hours to complete up to 10 matches and earn points, with the best performers in each region earning the Lovely Outfit and Heartblast Back Bling. There are a lot of rules regarding the competition -- which takes a little bit of the romance out of all the headshotting and teabagging, don't you think?
Also part of the Valentine's Day celebration this year are Hearts Wild Team Battles. From February 10-17, players will be able to "team up with their favorite Creators to help them earn points in unique Challenges" and earn themed rewards. More details on this event will be coming shortly. There's also a flower-fied Creative Hub to explore, papercraft cosplay masks to cut out, and quests to help poor, sad Fishstick find a Valentine. More info on all of these events can be found on the Fortnite site.
Also wearing red and coming to Fortnite this week is the Flash, who races into the game at 4 p.m. Pacific on February 13. That's when you'll be able to purchase his outfit, pick axe, back bling, and emote, individually or as a full set. If you want to get the Flash more, uh, quickly, you can take part in the Flash Cup on the 10th, which is another three-hour, 10-match marathon with an extensive set of rules. Can the Flash speed-read?
