Fortnite Adding 100-Player Battle Royale Mode
There's a lot to do in Fortnite: scavenge, manage your inventory, build bases, manage your inventory, defend bases, manage your inventory ... the list is endless.
One thing you can't do, however, is battle against other players in PvP. That's about to change, though, as Epic Games today announced a new Battle Royale mode coming soon to Fortnite. It's a 100-player killfest. You start with just a pickax and, as in the regular game, you can scavenge for building materials, weapons, and traps, to create defenses or lay waste to your enemies.
The public test for Fortnite's Battle Royale is live now, with rolling invites going out to early access players. The full mode will be on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Sept. 26. You can learn more about the mode on the Fortnite site.
