Former World of Warcraft Lead Designer Greg Street joins Riot Games
In Riot Games ever continuing bid to suck up the lead designers of some of the world's most popular MMOs, the studio has snatched up Greg Street. Street's name may be relatively unknown, but his online persona "Ghostcrawler" is much more recognizable as Blizzard's former Lead Game Designer for World of Warcraft. Street left Blizzard back in November where he had a hand in shaping WoW's design for almost six years.
Street's employment with Riot seems to have been confirmed by his own LinkedIn profile which lists Street as Lead Game Designer at Riot Games. This was later confirmed by Morello, Riot Game's current Lead Designer on the official League of Legends forums where he stated Street would not be replacing him, but actually providing "some MUCH-needed help on the leadership side".
Street has yet to confirm anything directly through his Twitter or other outlet.
Last September, Eve Online's Lead Designer Kristoffer Touborg also left CCP to join Riot Games.
