Get a look at the newest character added to the roster, too!
When it comes to ARPG-style games, the Diablo franchise will always be one of the big names, so when a new APRG-style game has a chance to get one of the Diablo developers on their team, they make the move.
Today, XD Inc. announced that former Diablo creator and developer David Brevik is joining the Torchlight: Infinite team as a consulting producer. His goal is simple, to make Torchlight: Infinite “the most playable hack and slash game.”
To get things rolling, Brevik is taking a look at player feedback and getting to work on ensuring that Torchlight: Infinite maintains a playable and balanced model. This is all in preparation for the game’s upcoming open beta. In case you’re wondering when that is, we have news.
Among the rest of today’s announcements, XD Inc. also revealed that the test will go live on October 12. It will be accessible via PC and mobile devices and will include more content and updates than in previous tests.
In additional news, XD Inc. dropped another trailer for one of Torchlight: Infinite’s characters, Carino. Carino is a marksman with ranged bonuses and an exclusive magazine for using projectile skills. Players can use the Ammo Expert hero trait in order to be able to reload Special Ammo that applies additional effects to a projectile.
