For Honor Unveils Tons Of Year 8 Plans With New Roadmap And Season 1 Details
Season 1 will be titled The Sword of Ashfeld.
Ubisoft has revealed the For Honor 2024 roadmap as well as details on Year 8 Season 1, which will be titled "The Sword of Ashfeld". Season 1 will tell a story centered on the Knights and the legendary sword, Valor's Edge. The sword is now carried by the Unsung Knight, a Warden skin which will be available for 25,000 Steel. Stories focused on the Samurai, Vikings, and Outlanders will come with each successive Season throughout the year.
For Honor is also converting two non-Dominion maps to deepen the Dominion map pool. The first, Cathedral, will be coming in Season 1 Update 2. There will also be two new Heroes, one in Season 2 and one in Season 4.
Year 8 Season 1, The Sword of Ashfeld, goes live on March 14th and with it comes the Last Hero Standing launch event, a new game mode with a survival-themed makeover to the Canyon map. Last Hero Standing will be a 1v1v1 free-for-all in which the first player to win three rounds wins the match. Last Hero Standing will be available to play from March 14th through April 4th.
A big update for Battle Passes will be the Legacy Pass, which will enable players to continue previous Battle Passes in chronological order. A new Battle Pass for Season 1 is, of course, coming as well.
For players who haven't purchased For Honor yet, there will be three new editions; Standard, Gold, and Ultimate Editions. The new editions will unlock 14 Heroes, 20 Heroes, and 26 Heroes respectively. Arcade Mode will also be free for all players, regardless of which edition you own.
March 21st will mark the reopening of the Testing Grounds as the For Honor devs test anti-ganking systems that will affect the Warden, Conqueror, Jormungandr, Shugoki, Hitokiri, Shinobi, Jiang Jun, Zhanhu, Pirate, and Ocelotl.
It may be time I give For Honor another shot. I am still in mourning over the loss of Warhaven, and this is the closest thing to it I'm aware of. Let me know in the comments if I should give For Honor another go for the first time since launch.
For now let's all just enjoy the new Year 8 Season 1 For Honor Launch Trailer.
