For The First Time In Its Long History Wizard 101 Is Getting Guilds
Raiding is coming, too.
Considering that they almost seem like a requirement in online games, it may be surprising to know that Wizard 101 is adding both guilds and raiding to the game after fourteen years. (Unless you’re someone who plays the game, of course.) KingIsle is introducing the new features as part of the game’s Summer Update, along with new PvP content.
Starting now, players will be able to set up their own guilds, move into houses, and prepare the houses for the incoming Raids feature. In Wizard 101 Raids are tied to Guilds, meaning players are probably going to need to join one if they’d like to be able to beat up bosses and earn rewards.
Joining a guild doesn’t just set players up to raid, however. There are other benefits, particularly the guild house which features a shared inventory, practice areas, and lots of things to decorate with.
In addition to announcing the new features, KingsIsle also revealed they’ll be announcing something at Gamescom. What that might be, we don’t know, but the wait to find out isn’t long with the convention being just 8 days away.
