The Floor is Lava! Fortnite's New Mode Is Your Favorite Furniture Destroying Game
I guess it was only a matter of time until this happened, but you can now play a version of The Floor Is Lava in Fortnite Battle Royale. And yes, it involves lava, but you won't be standing in a building jumping from couch to coffee table and back.
During this new Limited Time Mode, lava will begin covering the game map a few minutes into a match. It will rise steadily and cover the entire map. If you touch the lava, it will hurt, but you'll also be thrown up into the air.
There is a way around this, though. Players will be given a small amount of material every second that they can use to build on the lava. So, you can... you know... build a bridge or something.
The update also adds a new poison trap and some tropical-themed consumables. The peppers not only regenerate health, but they also make you zippy.
In the realm of Creative, players can now create and share PvE challenges using the Creature spawner. There's also a new shooting gallery theme.
The full patch notes for the latest Fortnite update are available on the game's site.
