First Spellweaver Expansion Announced
The first major expansion for Dream Reactor's free-to-play CCG Spellweaver is on its way. The expansion is slated for sometime in July -- no concrete date yet -- and will consist of 110 new cards divvied up between all six Aspects.
In addition to the new cards, which will be added to the original Valiant Dawn set, the expansion will introduce 3 new mechanics, 6 new Hero Skills, new creature types, and -- as the developers put it -- "a big surprise nobody expects." The new hero skills will be obtainable through a skill shrine.
Players can get an early peek at the new expansion with what Dream Reactor is calling "Secret Card Releases." Every Tuesday, starting June 21st, the developers plan to introduce 3 or more Secret Cards, which will be added to all pack types but will not be available for crafting and competitive play for a week after their release.
Other new content players can expect will be an overhauled casual tournament schedule and new AI opponents and challenges. More information on the expansion is available on the Spellweaver site.
