Finish Your Hearthstone Quests, Because Tomorrow's Patch Adds New Progression And Duels For Everyone
The big progression revamp patch comes to Hearthstone tomorrow, so the first thing you need to know is to get your current daily quests done before they're swept away by the new system. Got that? Good! Now, onto the new stuff.
Revealed during the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire presentation last month, Hearthstone's new progression system adds a wider range of achievements, a rewards track, new quest system, and an update profile page. The rewards track, a.k.a. battle pass, comes in both free and paid (for $19.99) versions, the latter of which nets you a 10% XP boost and golden Silas Darkmoon card.
Tomorrow's patch will give everyone access to Duels, the new game mode that lets you build your deck as you progress through its PvP gauntlet. Season One of the new mode kicks off for real on Nov. 17, when the expansion launches.
Also on tap for the expansion's launch is the Battlegrounds Perks pass, which goes for $14.99/2000 gold and gives you the option to choose from four heroes before a match, as well as offering more advanced stats and visuals.
Finally, Arena rotation will take place when the new expansion launches, as well, with Madness at the Darkmoon Faire, Scholomance Academy, Demon Hunter Initiate, Ashes of Outland, Galakrond's Awakening, Whispers of the Old Gods being valid card sets, along with Basic and Classic cards.
