Find Out More About Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis’s June Update Via Interview With Hiro
The interview covers the new Kvaris region.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis players who are excitedly waiting for the game’s June update and the frosty new Kvaris region will want to take a peek at the latest post on the game’s website. The NGS Headline Navigator Hiro took a little time to sit down and interview the NGS dev team and get – probably not all – but a lot of the info on the update.
The interview covers everything from the main theme of the update – “caring for friends and family” to the places players will visit. It also highlights two new player actions: Throw Action and Floating Boards. The first action changes attacks to throwing while the second allows players to ride on floating boards (think of air surfing) to move around faster.
Another thing discussed are the changes to NPCs in co-op trials. The NPCs in question are ARKS from Central City and are designed to function well in the Kvaris region with the snow and ice and all.
For the lore hounds, there’s also some discussion of the story. There’s also some info on the relationship between Meri and Kukka, who were introduced in the last NGS Headline.
Of course, there are details on new monsters and bosses, as well as info on how regular mobs and bosses interact with each other and how to deal with it. Some boss enemies will buff DOLLS, making fights even more challenging.
There’s plenty more to find out about the new update and Hiro’s interview is a good place to start. The whole thing is available on the PSO2:NGS site.
