Final Fantasy XIV To Celebrate Patch 6.2’s Island Sanctuary With Weeklong Livestream With "Mogchute Farm"
Experience life on a farm from the comfort of your home.
When Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.2 hits, it will bring some of the game’s most relaxing content to date, the Island Sanctuary – a place where you can go to ignore your friends in favor of your minions and farming stuff you can’t sell on the market board. To celebrate the arrival of the long-awaited feature, Square Enix has teamed up with “Mogchute Farm” to host a week-long stream on Twitch. For a week, players can sit and watch the farm critters do farm critter things. It’s a ridiculous idea, but probably a nice change for those of us dealing with work.
With Island Sanctuary, players will be able to build their own farms on a massive island in the game. So, perhaps this will provide players with some inspiration when it comes to building their private islands.
For those curious, “Mogchute Farm” is actually a 32-acre farm in the English countryside. It’s a registered charity dedicated to the care of farm animals. They’re open to the public for free, and allow events. Information on the farm – which normally goes by the name Mudchute – can be found on the organization’s site.
As mentioned above, the stream will run for a week. It’s already live on Twitch and you can head over there to watch chickens, goats, and sheep living their fluffiest lives.
