Final Fantasy XIV North American Data Center Expansion Details Now Available
After some delay, the new data center is almost here.
If you’ve been waiting and hoping for the new Final Fantasy XIV North American Data Center and your chance at a new start, either taking your current character over or starting a whole new one, you’re not waiting much longer.
According to an announcement on the Lodestone, the new Data Center, Dynamis, will launch on November 1, alongside the 6.28 maintenance patch. This is the first phase of Data Center expansion for North America and will include four new worlds: Halicarnassus, Maduin, Marilith, and Seraph.
When the new Data Center launches, players who decide to move to it or create new characters there will be able to take advantage of a few bonuses, including things like double XP and gifts of silver chocobo feathers, Gil, and free playtime. Of course, if you own a home on your current server, you’ll have to give it up, but the full cost of the home or apartment will be refunded and additional Gil will be provided for non-recoverable furnishings. The upside is there will be a lot of new homes to bid on.
