Final Fantasy XIV Launches Patch 7.1 Special Site And A Few New Details Are Revealed
Though not yet complete, it offers a look at what’s to come.
While we wait for Final Fantasy XIV’s next Live Letter on November 1, Square Enix is getting ready for the pre-patch info dump with the launch of the Patch 7.1 Special Site. Obviously, there isn’t a lot on there as of yet. The last Live Letter only covered a portion of what’s to come, and not all of those things are highlighted on the Special Site yet.
What we do have is a teaser for the continuing MSQ, “Crossroads”. Of course, the Warrior of Light, being the complete busybody they are, is sticking around in Tural along with the Scions and helping out – particularly trying to help the people of Living Memory. It can’t all just be good deeds. Of course, there are weird secrets the Scions will stumble across in their work.
If you’re wondering about the Final Fantasy XI crossover Alliance Raid, we now know it takes place in the woods of Yak T’el where another world seems to have overlapped with our own. It seems Tural might be a nexus for this kind of thing. Either way, what adventurer wouldn’t be curious enough to figure out what’s going on?
Speaking of mysteries, a village in Heritage Found was once attacked by a Tural vidraal, and Zoraal Ja led the battle against it. While he returned, no one knows what happened to the village. Yet another thing for the Warrior of Light to figure out, and pick up some new gear while doing it.
Finally, the Wandering Minstrel once again seems to feel the Warrior of Light’s life isn’t difficult enough. So, he’s worked his magic and now we can find out what it would have been like to fight an even more powerful Sphene.
Aside from the above, there’s a bullet list of items being introduced to the MMORPG including the new Ultimate Raid, the Chaotic Alliance Raid, the Pelupelu Society Quests, more Hildy adventures, role quests, and more. The devs are sure to pad all of those things out more in the coming weeks.
