Final Fantasy XIV Introduces Eorzean Aetherobics, For Those Who Want A Little More Movement In Their Life
While still being related to a video game.
Most of us are probably a bit bad about getting all the exercise we need. Some of you aren’t. I know some of you are out there hitting the gym every morning. Keep it up. You’re doing amazing. For the rest of us, though, having a fun home exercise program might be just the thing – doubly so if it’s related to something we enjoy anyway.
That’s why the Final Fantasy XIV team released a special video today – Eorzean Aetherobics. It’s an exercise video, of sorts. Really, it’s just a way to get you moving using emotes and dances from the MMORPG. It’s just a little something to get us up and out of our gaming chairs.
Interestingly, the devs worked with a group named Renaissance Inc. to create the video. This organization runs sports clubs and health programs in Japan, and they helped the developers pick out movements that were easy to learn while providing actual benefits. The video itself is less than four minutes long, so it won’t take much effort on our part and can probably be done more than once a day – if we remember.
