Moogle Treasure Trove October 2024

As we get closer to the launch of Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 7.1, Square Enix is once again rolling out the traditional pre-patch Moogle Treasure Trove event. It seems that the dev team has decided it really likes the format they rolled out prior to the launch of Dawntrail with the Mogpendium and various objective and challenge levels because it’s back again. That means that once again, even those who prefer activities like fishing, Triple Triad, or treasure hunting have a way to accumulate tomes other than simply running the same duties over and over again.

Of course, simply running duties is an option. No. Duty Support, Trusts, and unsynched duties don’t count.

The event is slated to kick off in the MMORPG on Tuesday, October 15. That’s a week from now. The ending date is simply listed as “the release of Patch 7.1” – as is always the case. We still don’t have an official date for the patch release. That will be announced in the next Live Letter. That said, the Moogle Treasure Trove typically runs about a month, and Yoshi-P did state it would be in mid-November. That means we're probably looking at November 12 at the earliest, November 19 at the latest.

As for what you can get in this update, there are quite a few mounts, including the Innocent Gwibber and Alte Roite. There appear to be only two minions this time. Interestingly, the Special Timeworn Map comes in three flavors: level 70, level 80, and level 90. The full list of items can be viewed on the Lodestone.
