Final Fantasy XIV’s Dawntrail Is “Officially” Here
And yes, that means you can finally get your Collectors Edition goodies.
Today’s the day. Dawntrail has officially launched in Final Fantasy XIV. Yes, we know that it’s been live for a few days now, but that was early access and limited to those who pre-ordered the MMORPG’s Collectors Edition. Today marks the official launch when everyone who’s bought the expansion can get in.
If you’re trying to log in today and find that you can’t, it’s very likely you still need to put in your key. You have about a week to get that done, so check your email. If you put in a key a while back and have been playing the early access, keep in mind that it was a different key. You will still need to put in the one for the full expansion.
Those who bought the CE should be receiving their mount, minion, and weapon today if you haven’t already. Those started going out last night.
If you haven’t been in the game yet, you’ll be happy to know that there really hasn’t been much in the way of congestion problems. That said, if your data center is full, you can hop over to Dyanamis.
Finally, today is also the beginning of the Chocorpokkur mount. To receive the mount, you’ll need to find a Twitch stream and watch six hours of content. Details on how to go about that are available on the Lodestone. Just watch out for potential spoilers.
