Final Fantasy XIV’s Bards Team Up To Organize Charity Event To Help Turkey And Syria Following The Earthquakes
The event will take place across several days and several data centers
Once again proving that gamers can sometimes come together to do really nice things, more than 30 of Final Fantasy XIV’s bards and bands are coming together to host a several-day charity to raise money for those in Turkey and Syria impacted by the earthquakes that took place on February 6.
With people in two countries and multiple cities affected, there are a lot of people that are going to be needing help for a while. With that in mind, FFXIV Bards & Bands decided to organize a charity festival. This festival will kick off at 7:00 UTC as a Flash Mob in Limsa Lominsa on the world of Louisoix, Data Center – Chaos.
On March 4, several events will take place on Zodiark (Light Data Center) and Exodus (Primal Data Center). These will begin at 10:00 AM UTC and continue throughout the day. There will also be something on March 5, but the exact nature of that portion of the festival has yet to be announced.
The group has set up a Tiltify page that those interested can use to donate. For those unable to donate, they simply ask that folks be there – and maybe wear the official Eorzea Rescue outfit. Full details on the event are available on Reddit. Considering there seem to be some things that are still being organized, those interested in it will probably want to watch the thread to catch new announcements as they happen.
