Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.38 Patch Updates Battle System And Makes Several Class Adjustments In PvP
Several Eureka Orthos issues have been fixed as well.
Today, North American Final Fantasy XIV players are busy doing other things while they wait for the game’s servers to come back up. To implement new Data Centers for the region, Square Enix brought the servers down for a 24-hour period, coinciding with the release of the Patch 6.38 update.
Today’s update isn’t huge, but it does make a few important changes for raiders and PvPers. First off, the restrictions have been lifted on the Pandaemonium: Abyssos Savage raids, so if you’re still trying to get that gear, you’ll have a better chance of doing it now. The entrance restriction has been lifted as well.
Several classes have had some skills adjusted for PvP. It’s a mix of nerfs and buffs, so whether or not these are good things are going to depend on what classes you play and which you think are the biggest pain in the ass to deal with.
Speaking of PvP, Season 5 of Crystalline Conflict has come to an end, and Six begins when the patch is finished. Players will be able to pick up their Season 5 rewards and must do so before the end of Season 6.
Finally, the update includes a selection of fixes, several of which are for Eureka Orthos. If you’ve been having problems there, that may help. Also, any male Lalas who have found the Valentione Rose Heels weren’t displaying quite right for them will be happy to know that’s been addressed.
