Let Your Minions Loose On Your Island! Final Fantasy XIV’s 6.2 Update Is Now Live
It’s time to say goodbye to your friends, move to the Island Sanctuary, and never be seen again.
While I’m sure many of you Final Fantasy XIV players took days off of work and were up before the sun in order to experience the new content dropped with the 6.2 update this morning, there may be some of you who missed the memo about this whole patch thing. For those of you who did, the patch is now available to play.
The problem is, now you have to decide what to do. There are quite a few things to choose from. Of course, the crowning jewel is probably the Island Sanctuary that we’ve all been hearing about forever. It’s finally here and we’re sure some of your friends will enter never to be seen again. (Or at least until they want to show their Island off.) Players can now explore the massive space, build, farm, take care of critters, turn their minions loose for a round of fun, and more. And then there are the mounts to collect.
The patch also adds new content to duty support. Players can now hop into Snowcloak, The Keeper of the Lake, Sohm Al, The Aery, and The Vault without worrying about party finder. Speaking of dungeons, The Fell Court of Troia is now open for business. Also, a new trial and an Unreal Trial can be taken on. The Pandaemonium raids continue, as does Tataru’s quest line, and of course, there’s the MSQ. Depending on your personal playstyle, you may be here for a while.
