Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier Battle Royale Launches For Mobile Devices
Wield swords, guns, and magic in iconic FF7 locales.
Much-anticipated -- if only because of its weirdness -- Final Fantasy VII battle royale game The First Soldier is now available for all Android and iOS devices. Set in Midgar before the events of Final Fantasy VII, players take the part of SOLDIERs and strive to be the last one standing as they search the battlefields based around popular FF7 locations, such as Seventh Heaven, Corneo’s Mansion, and the Honeybee Inn.
There are five classes available at launch -- Warrior, Sorceror, Monk, Ranger, and Ninja -- each with their own unique strengths. In addition to other players, various monsters from the world of Final Fantasy stalk the battlefield, and defeating them offers XP and the chance to level up and unlock new weapons, which include iconic Final Fantasy gear, as well as magic spells and summons.
The launch is accompanied by the first season, Rise of Shinra, which includes a battle pass, and Square Enix is offering a slew of login bonuses to celebrate the game's arrival. These include a Chocobo Egg, Shinra Mask Skin, Shinra Bike Skin, Shinra Utility Vehicle Skin, and Shinra Helicopter Skin. Learn more about Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier on its website.
